My allotment plot borders a building site. Yesterday a Morrison's bag containing two uneaten pieces of chicken was thrown over the fence. Presumably the site worker had not had time to finish his lunch so discarded it. We already have problems with rats eating our allotment produce. The council says we will not get rid of the rats. They are an accepted part of the wildlife in central Basingstoke.

We can not get rid of rats because we are not stopping people dropping litter. People are too busy to stop and think about what they are doing to this town. The council picks up more and more rubbish from the roadsides.

I think around here dropping litter is a form of road rage! The traffic congestion is terrible. Yesterday I witnessed an ambulance struggling to squeeze through roundabout. People are not bothered around here. They sit in their cars in thier own world with their music on load and we get so used to hearing the ambulance, police and fire sirens that it has become part of the background along with the motorway noise.
