Beautiful Boroughs Project – Cleanup Crew

CleanupUK is looking for people to join the Cleanup Crew, who will support communities in improving your local area.

The aim of the project is to energise groups to get involved in events that will clean up the area and give it a makeover.

Your role will be to support community groups by joining them as a volunteer when they are doing cleanup days in their area. Not only will you support by providing an extra pair of hands to work, you’ll also be showing them that people care and want to help those who are helping themselves.

So if you like talking to people and making a difference to your community then get in touch. You’ll meet new people, get some volunteering experience on your CV and find out more about where you live and what makes the area tick. And it doesn’t matter how old or young you are – as long as you’ve got a smile on your face and you like getting things done, we want to hear from you.

There aren’t any set days as much of the activity takes place at weekends and occasionally in the evening.

This project covers the London boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest and Greenwich, so please contact us wherever in these boroughs you live. We hope to find volunteers from every community so that we can make an impact over the whole borough.
